Katie Jones is deeply passionate about old vines. The owner/winemaker at Domaine Jones, founded in 2009, Katie is dedicated to making the heritage of old vines meaningful to consumers.
Plaimont, South West France
Between 1950 and 2000, ampelographers & technicians scoured the region Plaimont covers to compile an inventory of grape varieties and “very old plots”. They identified a remarkable heritage, unique in France, which led to the creation of the Ampelographic Conservatory of Saint-Mont.
Domaine de Cébène, Faugères, France
Domaine de Cébène is an 11-hectare estate in the Languedoc, founded by the winemaker Brigitte Chevalier. In 2007, after a career in wine export sales, she bought some old vines planted at 300 metres on the schist rock of the Faugères appellation area.
